You Have the Power Within You

Spiritual healing, regardless of the type that you are using, is the result of the direct contact with the center of your consciousness. When you are able to reach this place within your own being, commonly called the Higher Self, or the Higher Soul Self, healing naturally follows. If someone has asked for help, that one receives the healing; perhaps not the healing they have asked for, but that which will best assist their journey through the earth plane.

All requests are heard and carefully considered by those beings that oversee humankind. If the lesson that you have been trying to work through has completed or nearly completed, then healing will occur quite rapidly.

No words, treatment, arguments, affirmations, or denials are necessary in the deep spiritual healing that is earnestly sought. The only requirement is that you become still, that you silence your outer senses, and go deep within your own being until you feel yourself at the center of your consciousness.

When contact is made, you may perceive a beam of light coming down from above your head and entering your body, or you may perceive a flame that enters from beneath your body and seems to burn out diseased or dark and heavy areas without feeling hot. A feeling within you will become evident and you will know that the healing has been accomplished. Many throughout the world are healing through pure connection to the Source, whatever they consider that to be, without taking any notice of the nature of the condition or disease.

The attitude necessary for this healing to be effective is a quiet resting in the centre of consciousness until that connection to your Higher Soul Self is felt, then waiting. Some may well experience the light or the flame, but it is not entirely necessary. Some may just receive an intuitive awareness that something is happening by the energies flowing through the body. Some may listen to the still, small voice within similar to what is written in Scripture in the words of Samuel, "Speak, Lord; for Thy servant heareth."

Many in this day and age are again being inspired with the spirit of God. When consciousness is touched by the Christ force, that consciousness is illumined and is able to know reality even when it cannot always voice it adequately or teach it. Spiritual consciousness brings freedom from the corporeal sense of existence. It no longer tries to patch up worn-out or diseased bodies, but holds the concept in mind of a body already healed.

The animals and birds have trust in what we would call instinct. This is their connection to their source in the group soul, and they are guided to act accordingly.

If humans paid more attention to their own inner awareness, and the life lessons they have set for their own self-development, perhaps much illness and heartache could be avoided or at least lessened. This does not mean to say that you stop going to your medical practitioner if you are under his or her care. Always check with your medical practitioner for any concerns you may have.

However, spiritual healing is an accomplished fact in this age. It is done through the scientific understanding and spiritual discernment of truth. Many spiritual healers are now working hand in hand with medical practitioners to offer a more complete picture of health and healing.

It is not necessary that one do a prescribed amount of reading or attend a church in order to be healed although it is true that many have been healed while reading metaphysical literature, and there have been countless thousands of healings during church services and during lectures of a metaphysical nature. Whatever tends to spiritualize thought and to get the negative thinking patterns out of the way makes us receptive to healing. None of these things should be done with the thought of being healed, but rather from the standpoint of gaining more understanding of the truth and the spiritualization of thought. Sometimes healing will just happen as a result.

The practitioner must always look beyond the physical personality, beyond the disease or illness, and see the deeper aspects within; the spiritual being that is perfect and whole.

The search for a power outside ourselves ceases as we realize our oneness with God. When we rely more and more on the divinity of our own being to govern, protect, and maintain our physical bodies, we learn to turn to the kingdom of God within us for all our needs, and in proportion, so do we stop looking to other people, circumstances, or conditions for our good. Only as we learn to do this does the infinite good of God begin to unfold from within our own being and express through our physical bodies.
